All in a Day's Play....

The weather has sneakily (meaning like overnight) turned to fall temperatures and it's wonderful! We are outside as much as we can be! Kilian loves playing with sidewalk chalk and his favorite pasttime is for mommy to trace his body outline...over and over and over again. So our little sidewalk is decorated with numerous body outlines of Kilian. This morning we went to the Toddler StoryTime at the local library and it was very cute. The books were a little long for active 2 yr. olds to really appreciate, but the songs and activities kept the pace up! We wondered through the rows of books looking for "Thomas", but didn't have enough patience to look it up on the computer. So I will do my homework ahead of time for next week and know exactly where to find Thomas. Kilian has found himself his very own "story box". Which actually just started out as a box, until I cut some windows in it for him and then he made the connection to Pinky Dinky Doo and her story box. We spent the afternoon coloring it and adding carpet...or multicolored scribbles, whichever you prefer. It's the best part of 3 months worth of work to design handmade baskets for the FRG...it's the box that delivered them all to my door!
