This week in play...

As always, playtime monopolizes most of our days in sunny Kansas, due to the stifling heat last week (still 108 at 4pm) we had some new adventures inside! Kilian's birthday seems to have extended past the normal limits of birthday celebrations, as the gifts keep trickling on in...which was nice to pass the "heat" away inside. He loves his Cars Baseball set from his AWESOME sitter, Allie, except for the fact that he insists on holding all three pieces at once. So he puts on the glove, holds the ball in the glove and then tries to hit it out with the bat. I think it's time for Daddy to get home for some lessons. HaHa! He also enjoyed a few hours of his boat (box) in the dining room, complete with his "Arrr Captain" hat, which is actually a Joker hat from a Renaissance Fest, but it's all up to the imagination!! Of course, we can't forget Daddy race car and the Baby racecars, despite them all actually being Lightening McQueen, Kilian has dubbed them appropriate family roles! He had his 2 yr. check up today and is a healthy growing boy! I was surprised that his is in the high percentile for height, we'll see if that lasts....we don't really have any height in the family, except maybe for my paternal grandfather, so we'll see!! Also, his two year photos were just taken by my talented friend, Ali Mocabee, here is the link if you'd like to take a look!
